Customer Review :
Smaller than expected, limited adjustability, poor on/off switch : Sunlight Desk Lamp Natural Full Spectrum Sun Light. Simulates Daylight. 150Watt Output uses 27 Watts. Touch On/Off Switch.
The quality and brightness of the light are sufficient, but not quite the life-altering glow some of these reviews would have you believe. I find it on the harsh side. Assembly was quite easy. I expected a spare light bulb from one of the reviews, but didn't receive one (that may or may not be standard). The options for adjustability are quite limited and change if the lamp is to the left or right of your workspace. It is smaller than I expected. Nothing about it is spectacular, but the on/off switch is spectacularly bad; it is nearly non-responsive. With the exception of the on/off switch, nothing about it is dealbreakingly bad for a fifteen dollar lamp - for forty dollars (which includes what I paid for shipping), I'd rather have something else, but not enough to return this one. In fact, it's illuminating my desk as I type.

The Verilux Original Natural Spectrum Floor Lamp is a delight for sore eyes. It not only provides the best of natural daylight indoors, but it also helps eliminate glare, eyestrain, and fatigue.
This versatile and practical lamp uses patented technology to sharpen vision with greater contrast and true color vibrancy. Flicker Elimination Technology provides steady illumination while its Parabolic Grid Diffuser shields your eyes from glare, making reading, crafting, painting, and any other visually demanding tasks more enjoyable and easier to perform for longer periods of time. The flexible gooseneck allows you to direct light right where you need it most or cast broader lighting for an entire area. With an advanced electronic ballast system, Verilux lamps provide greater light output with less energy usage. You get 150-watts of comparable incandescent brightness using only 27 watts of energy, so your bulb lasts longer, creating less waste and more savings for you.
Scientifically Tuned to the Human Eye
The back of the human eye has light receptors, called cones and rods, located in the retina. Cones respond to different color wavelengths and rods handle depth perception and contrast.
Under typical interior lights, the rods and cones are not well stimulated, which can cause visual fatigue. With the Verilux Original Natural Spectrum Floor Lamp, the eye responds more efficiently, improving comprehension, productivity, and focus.

Halfway decent : Verilux Original Natural Spectrum Deluxe Floor Lamp, Graphite
Well, there are a combine of observations that might come in beneficial to some one trying to make a purchase decision on this lamp.
The height quoted for this product is a bit of a misnomer. Technically speaking the higher end outline quoted for the height is correct, however, to accomplish that height, you'd have to thoroughly straighten out the curly part (the top part of the lamp), this will make it so that the lamp will be aiming sideways across the room instead of downward! Now I don't know about you but I don't want a provocative lamp hitting me right in the eyes every time I walk by. I want a lamp that's going to shine down on me, or on anything I'm working on or aiming at, and that's the crux you see, because by bending it over into a natural downward facing position the lamp is very short. I had to mount it on top of a tall Ups (Ymmv) for it to conveniently shine down on my desk, otherwise I would have probably returned it, again, Ymmv.
Secondly as some reviewers have stated in regards to the brightness, it is not so much that it is not bright, it's just that the light is so white that any brighter for a lamp and it might be uncomfortable.
Thirdly, the lamp covers what would be the equivalent of a desk area, and not much more. This isn't a corner room lamp.
Last but not least, I was amazed by how short the lamp categorically is, when I unboxed it and assembled it, for a wee I opinion that a second prolongation pole was missing or lost, I quickly realized that there was no other prolongation pole.
One other thing: The Faq page that comes with it specifically states that this lamp does not furnish the amount of lumens primary for this lamp to qualify for Sad therapy. That being said, in New England during the winter our days are short, and this does help out tremendously.
It makes me think that days are longer, at least while I'm sitting at my desk.
All in all, I am happy with the light and will be holding it.
I'm giving it three stars because I opinion it was going to float over my head, (Too Short!)
